What do we build for financial technology programs?
Fintech hardware combines two demands most sheet metal work does not: security-grade structural steel and a finish good enough for a customer-facing lobby. Across a program we fabricate:
- ATM cabinet shells. Formed and welded cabinets built to the OEM’s security and cosmetic print.
- Smart-safe enclosures. Heavier-gauge welded enclosures within our press-brake envelope.
- Cash-handling unit housings. Formed housings for note and coin-handling modules.
- EMV terminal sub-assemblies and cabinets. Payment-terminal enclosures and mounting sub-assemblies.
- ATM kiosk base and pedestal frames. Structural base frames that carry a floor-standing unit.
- Vault interior shelving and mounting structures. Formed shelving and brackets fitted inside a vault interior.

Can you fabricate UL Listed safes and ATMs?
No, and the distinction matters enough to state plainly. Nevatronix Sheet Metal is a UL-listed shop, but a UL Listing on a finished safe or ATM belongs to that product’s own design, testing, and certification, held by the company that owns the product. We fabricate the enclosure to your qualified print and hand over the material certifications, weld documentation, and first-article report your own listing file needs — we do not claim, and have never claimed, that our fabrication makes a product UL Listed. If your program is qualifying a new enclosure design for its own listing, that qualification and the listing application are yours to run; our job is to build the physical enclosure to the print your listing depends on and document it well enough that the paperwork holds up.
What steel and thickness do security enclosures need?
Security-rated enclosures run in mild steel up to 8 mm, within our 200-ton press brake’s forming envelope — see the sheet metal gauge chart for the full range across materials. We do not run armor plate or exotic alloys; heavier security work stays inside the mild-steel-to-8-mm envelope our brakes, punches, and welders are built for. If a design calls for armor-grade material, that is outside our process and we will say so rather than force a fit. Bezels, card-reader surrounds, and other lighter cosmetic trim run in stainless or aluminum, chosen for finish and corrosion resistance rather than security load.
What documentation ships with a fintech enclosure order?
Every production order carries material certifications, weld procedure documentation (WPS/PQR), lot traceability through a MIE Trak Pro ERP, and a first-article inspection report. That paperwork exists for one purpose: so the enclosure’s build record is ready to drop into your own UL listing file, or your customer’s, without a follow-up request months later. We accept native CAD in DWG, DXF, STEP, IGES, PDF, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, or Pro-E, so a security print moves into the program without a redraw step. On a revision, the affected lot is identified before the new first article runs, so the traceability record never has a gap between the old design and the new one.
Welding and finishing for security and cosmetic surfaces
Security-rated seams run on our robotic welding cells for repeatable placement, or manually where geometry the robots cannot reach — our welders are qualified to AWS D1.1 (structural steel) and D1.2 (aluminum) procedures, and WPS/PQR documentation is available on request. Customer-facing faces are masked and protected through forming and welding, then finished in-house: powder coat on a 24-hour turn with 40-plus colors stocked, or natural/brushed finish for stainless bezels and card-reader surrounds. Hardware insertion for cassette brackets and module mounting plates runs on the same PEM-rated hardware press as the rest of our assembly work.
Volumes, lead time, and where fabrication stops
Fintech programs run from a single prototype to full production, at volumes from 1 to 50,000 units per release; Nevatronix has delivered 100,000+ units to date, the bulk of them gaming and fintech hardware built on this floor. We fabricate the cabinet, housing, and sub-assembly to your design — we do not engineer the security system, certify the listing, or warranty the finished product. That boundary is what lets an OEM hand us the metal scope and keep the certification and liability where it belongs: with them. It is also why fintech OEMs use this floor as overflow and second-source capacity rather than a single-supplier risk: the tooling, the documentation, and the traceability record move with the print regardless of which release is running.
