Frequently asked questions
- Do you weld to AWS structural codes?
- We weld to AWS D1.1 (structural steel) and D1.2 (aluminum) procedures — WPS-controlled and documented — for non-ITAR defense and commercial structural work. Our welders are qualified to these procedures; we are not a formally AWS-certified shop and do not hold aerospace (D17.1) qualification.
- Are you ITAR registered?
- No — Nevatronix is not ITAR registered. We focus on non-ITAR defense and commercial programs, where our AWS D1.1/D1.2-procedure welding, MIL-spec material handling, and full traceability apply. ITAR-controlled work falls outside our current scope.
- Can you build to MIL-STD-810 environmental requirements?
- Yes. We design enclosures to meet MIL-STD-810 environmental methods — drop, vibration, water-ingress, and temperature-cycling — through material, gasket, and finish choices. Qualification testing is performed by an accredited lab to the program's tailored method.
- What documentation do you provide for defense contracts?
- Mill certs, weld procedure documentation (WPS / PQR), in-process inspection records, AS9102-format first article, and full traceability per program. Standard for our defense customers.
